Where The Heart Is- Novalee Nation
Gone
Nothing insight on this lonely road ahead
Left on the side trying to think of where I will be lead.
In this little old town looking for a ride
I’m out in the open, ashamed, nowhere to hide.
Found
People with hearts so kind surround me
Making little conversations so I am not lonely
After awhile the thought of being alone
Escapes because I might have found a new home
Taken
New friends take me in, strangers I don’t even know
A new way of life something I will have to say ready, set, go.
Trying to memorize each one's face is going to be tough
But it won’t take long even though it may seem rough
Past
Bad memories fade after settling in this town
Never to look back on the disappointing times and frown.
I just think of where I've come from with great accomplishment
About all of those people that used to give me compliments.
Home
It’s taken awhile to get to a steady place of rest
I have been through a lot and aced the test.
But I've found the place I want to stay forever
What started from bad will now be good and I will endeavor.
