"If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not a person or object"-Albert Einstein

Your foot is on the gas
Your mind is in another world
Your vision is getting blured
But you don't stop
You believe you're fine
So you keep on going
But now your're in the hospital
Wishing you never had drove
Now your're in the ground
Looking upon yourself
Wishing you have never had that last drink

What inspired me to create this poem was that we are learning about the affects of alcholo in health class. We read a poem called Moonlight Ride by a unknown author, which was about a girl name Jenny who got in a car with a drunken boy who crashed into Jenny's parents and killed them as well as himself and Jenny. This poem had a huge impact me which made me create my poem "That Last Drink".
