Rant about life.

Wasn’t this an anti climax?
‘Teenage years are the best of your life’ my mum tells me
Then I haven’t got a lot to look forward to.
Work, work, work – not for our own interest
But simply to get few letters to put on a sheet of paper
Certifying that after sitting through a few exams
We are society’s idea of clever.
Well if that’s what society judges intelligence by –
I want no part of it.
I’ll tell you what I want in my life
And its happiness
I don’t think that by getting these grades
Will enable me to get a job I want
Just one that will pay me a lot – but weren’t we under the impression
That money cannot bring one happiness?
And if so why waste our time on doing this?
I’m not learning – I'm cramming useless information in
I want to learn through experience – not our stupid education system.
But the huge, colossal, weighty problem
Is that I can’t do that
I am forced to go to a school where I don’t listen to a word
I am forced to take exams that will note me as clever or not
And they say we have freedom – I want to be having experience
But oh wait! You can’t have experience
Without experience
So where do you get the experience
Needed for experience?
It all gets so out of hand that we don’t realise
Just how dumb we are being
If everyone could just sit down and look around
Look around at children dying from the pressure put on them
To get a few grades
That they don’t even need to do something they really enjoy.
It’s just become one bit competition
Who can get the best results that will take them to
The best university that will get them
The best job that will give them
The most money BUT WE ARE FORGETTING
To live! In doing all of this we have forgotten our true meaning
We have forgotten to enjoy our lives!
Constantly pushing and shoving to get to the top
But all that is at the top is nothing!
You got your office job, you are well paid
Now what? These long unflexible hours give you little time
To spend that large sum of money you are receiving.
I guess what I am trying to say is that they way we are living
Is not practical and is bringing us nothing
But a set of children feeling like they have under achieved
When they are unable to get the same boring job the others got
By sitting at their desk beginning to rot.

I had a flurry of anger and let it out on my computer.
