So Far Away
You’re so far away
And I feel as cold as a winter’s day,
As I lay in bed cuddled up in my soft sheets
Watching TV, not knowing what the people in the program say,
Instead I am listening to music that drowns the sound
While thinking about you
I am able to hear my heart pound
I just hope you know I miss you too.
You’re so far away
And I feel as cold as a winter’s day,
I wish you were here
That’s what my texts say
You reply with: If this was a movie I would be:
As your day goes asleep
My day will be waking up
I can tell from the Goodnight text beep.
As this snow howls and whistles
Blowing every which way...
Every season will turn
From Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall
There is a lesson that we learn
That change will always come to all
You’re so far away
And what can I say?
If I can say anything, anything; I would say that I love you baby
Those feelings are clear as a summer day
By now I hope you know
As I text you; Hello
And I hear the snow blow
As you reply with: Sorry I'm late, got stuck in the snow.
