Do you remember when…
Fits of laughter were everything to be heard,
Or sweaty palms slipping intimate notes?
Do you remember when…
Inside youthful bodies’ feelings stirred,
When heart beats raced inside our throats?
Do you remember when…
Reason was left tainted and blurred,
Leaving two people in love afloat?
Do you remember when…
Our warm fingers would intertwine,
And saccharine smiles were drawn?
Do you remember when…
Passion and love began to decline,
And we could tell our empathy was breaking forgone?
Do you remember when…
You gave me your heart and I gave you mine,
But what is one supposed to do when the other half is gone?
