Sodium Chloride
Microscopic grains of salt, mingling with unfiltered
Eye sweat, corrode my cheeks like waves
Against a cliff. They break bits of flaked skin
Off and hold them prisoner like
 Mosquitoes trapped in amber,
So that when my tears finally
 Splash to the ground,
 They're full of pure me.
 And I can honestly
 say I am
 melting
