I am not dirt on your boot;
to be scraped away.
I am not a ghost;
cursed to roam at night.
I am not your thing;
to be used till unusable.
I am the giver of life and light;
the rock in the storm.
I am the force behind hurricanes,
and why they’re named after humans.
I am the voice to the voiceless;
the hand leading in the dark.
I am unstoppable, unbreakable, undeniable,
and stronger than one hundred men.
I am a woman.
