porcelain tears with the slip of a finger
and rosebuds scatter across the tile
I'd blame myself for her fainting
because handspun dishes
are never set next to sterling silverware
I admire the spiderweb of shards
spanning my kitchen floor
I close my eyes and a smile opens
imagining that I
feel cracks veining across my surface
