Rain
The sky cries out with thunder
Tears drowning the soil
Making it blacker than the clouds

Roads become lakes, cars become searchboats
Their headlights finding those drowning in the storm
But not a single one ever pulls over

Lightning webs the entire sky
Illuminates my world as if it were the sun
But it introduces destruction
Making me pray the sky will stop being in such pain

The author's comments:
My favorite weather is when it's raining. But even with the good rain brings, it also has it's "down pours".
