Dance
I lace up my skates
as I sit alone on the edge
of a thin white sheet of glass
The moonlight bounces down
brushing upon me like a friend
I'm all alone with just the moon,
Time passes and then you show up
The moonlight caressing your face
You join me on the white glass
and we dance
Our feet tangle
Our bodies sway
Our arms embrace
The moon applauds and smiles down upon us
as we finish our dance
And then as you leave
the moon begins to leave
leaving me friendless on the thin white glass
with only memories of our dance for company
