This is War
My hands and arms are sweaty
Sweat filled with the anticipation
The anticipation of a little sound
The sound of the beginning and the end
I hear it yet don't react
Instead I find you and lock eyes
You smile and I know
By your eyes there’s no mercy
There’s a silence in the midst of a battle
I know in this silence that I am your victim
I am your victim and you aim to kill
I finally react and move my feet
Only to feel the pain of your kill
The pain that has turned to numbness
Numbness spreading throughout my arms
Although it pains me I stick it
Your kill was deflected
Deflected to my ally
My ally who uses your kill to kill you
There is silence for a second
Then I hear it, the tiny sound
It sounds the beginning and the end
I hear it
This time is different
I hear a roar seconds after the tiny sound
I know that this is the end
The war is finally over
At the end I feel it
I know I have won
I fought through each battle
In the end I have won
