All Alone
In the beginning we all started out with nothing
Nobody complained, we all just lived with it
But somebody always had to have something
And then everything just didn’t seem to fit
Theres times in our lives that can be hard
But we all just need to pick up our feet
Because it’s time to carry on
Even though it used to be sweet
Everything that was real is now gone
Moving on can be tough to do
You think you’ll never get through
But soon enough you’ll be better than new
Time will fly
People will change
And you would have already said your goodbyes
In the end
You’ll have a friend
But as you learned
You don’t need someone for you to feel complete
Now the tables have turned
And you leave with no one to meet
As you should know
Life will go on
No matter where you are
Or what you’re doing
Or who you’re with
You can look up to the stars
And know it’s okay
To be alone and on your own
And to the day
Where you’ll be tough as stone
