Remember when
I remember when my brain was in its own coma
When my body felt as if it was laying wounded on a battleground
When my worst nightmare came true
I remember when my brothers eyes filled with sorrow
When the sorrow fled from his eyes and down his cheeks
When a cold hand wiped the sorrow from his face and told him everything is going to be alright
I remember right their and then that it was love I saw in the one that I thought didn't know how to show love
When they all gathered around me to see what was their worst fear
When flying through white clouds and air was a sensation I could not keep down
I remember when they told me that they had a plan
When all I wanted to do was sit and wonder what was next
When I would wonder if the next day would be better or worse
When I was told that the nightmare I was living was over
I remember when I felt as if I was living a new life
When missing family was not a problem any more
When happiness was all I had in me
I do remember all of these things
