Snowflakes are like kisses on my face, light and soft,
They mean nothing once your icy lips touch mine.
Leaves fall from the trees as emotions run wild in my mind,
The bare trees covered in snow are like the pain of my heavy heart.

Winter’s touch on the face of a flower destroys it,
The touch of his hand on mine nearly kills me.
The bitter snow is envious of the hot summer,
And I am left alone to feel the hatred and jealousy.

Confusion races in my mind as the hail of a blizzard whirls around,
Feelings sink deep into my heart like worn out boots trudging through the slush.
I am locked in my thoughts, nothing but fear,
Does he really love me anymore?

The harsh winter wind whispers it’s over in my ear,
Causing a rush of coldness to spread from the tip of my toes to the top of my spine.
Chilly nights of the wicked winter cause great pain and sorrow,
Maybe things will brighten up as soft spring appears.
