I am from the West Coast
I am from the West Coast and I know the beaches.
Running and playing around in the sand,
Building a sand castle with a shovel and hands.
The water so clear and the ocean so bright,
You’ll want to stay and play until it is night.
I am from the West Coast and I know the cities.
Walking around the city on your feet,
Using your phone and listening to the beat.
Heading downtown and eating really good food,
The meals almost always put me in a fine mood.
I am from the West Coast and I know the sun.
The great, yellow sun giving out all the light,
You need to wear sunglasses because it’s so bright.
Don’t worry about snow or ice over here,
Just sit in the shade and have a cold root beer.
I am from the West Coast and I know the people.
Friendly neighbors who try to be nice,
Not like east coast where everything’s ice.
Making new friends and bonding together,
Smiling around and greeting whoever.
I am from the West Coast.
