the smile,
the hello,
the faux interest,
it’s all a part of his game.
the butterflies,
the nervousness,
the thought of something new,
these faintly familiar feelings.
she thinks,
he is different.
she thinks,
he is the one.
she thinks,
this is love.
trusting, loving, caught in feelings,
but,
he isn’t any different,
he’s far from the one,
it is all part of his game,
be wise with your heart,
play goalie,
don’t let him score.
