Shadow
Calmly sat the girl with long dark hair
Next to the blonde haired boy over there;
They whispered, they talked, and from far away
Watched one girl day after day
She looked on from the shadows, in the dark
Nowhere she went could she leave a mark;
All through the pastures and all through the trees
She heard people's cries and all of their pleas
Although she could listen there was one cost
Herself to others would be forever lost;
To be alive, to come into the light
Was her one wish: no longer apart of the night
When her chance came she did not wait
For if she did it would be too late
To join the girl with the long dark hair
Next to the blonde haired boy over there
