I have lost who I once was, the person I longed to escape. But now that it's gone, I can't quite make out the reflection in my mirror. Who stands before me? Surely it isn't me! But, alas, it is. Whomever that may be will be determined by the morning sun when it rises again and repeats the process all over again. I guess the only thing left to do is surrender to sleep, dream of a better me, then wake up confused and disappointed when I brush my teeth. Goodnight, foul mirror, as innocent as you are, I can't help but blame you for my insecurity and dissatisfaction. Maybe tomorrow, you'll play along.
