Everyday is like D-Day for me, I step on foreign lands and run my way into duty. Of course my duty is school and I run because I had overslept because of my laziness unlike the heroic soldiers on the shores of Normandy running for their proud nation because their duty is to keep their homeland safe.

The author's comments:
I had been living in a country which wasn't my home nation for almost my entire life and since I look different from the majority of the others I have been often picked on and got discriminated especially as a young child and it got me feel left out as an outsider. This definitely demotivated me and had vast negative effects in my life. But just like the brave men in Normandy I should be proud battling in foreign lands.
