Graduation
Its graduation day
you finally made it
all your hard work has paid off
as the gym crowds with spectators
girls, boys, parents, teachers
you look back on your high school experience
but have you really left an impact?
were you the captain of a sports team
were you involved in clubs
or were you the grade A student
what legacy did you leave behind?
high school was suppose to be
the best years of your life
do you remember freshman year?
you had to fit in right off the bat
you couldnt be late to your classes
and you always played tricks on the substitute
sophomore year came along
and you had a feel
of what high school tasted like
you thought it was sweet
just like a tangerine
you weren't the youngest
but still not the oldest
then junior year approached
you were finally an upperclass man
BUT being in the upperclass
came more responsibilities
ACT, SAT, tests and quizzes
every other day
the work load was unbearable
but then
finally
senior year
you were top dog
you were everyone's model
everyone envy'd you
you had easy classes
great teachers
and no cares
minus the whole college picking part
Graduation is here
you can't avoid it
you can't be late
you must run fast
everything that you've done in high school
is now coming to an end
it's time to move on and create more memories
at college with new teachers, new friends
and now create a new legacy
