Black power to all my brothers and sisters.

Black power to the ancestors that I am Proud of.

I say BLACK POWER for Langston Hughes even when I sit in the church pews

Black power from me to you.

Black power to all the young black kids who try to make a change.

Black power to the men in jail who say its like hell.

Black power to the parents who work hard for their kids.

Black power to my uncle I will never see again.

BLack power from my head to my feet.

Black power to the teachers that teach.

Black power to the new BLACK people I see.

Black power to the pride that you hide.

Black power to all like it’s your hour.

Black power to the BLACK people that aren’t stereotypes.

Black power to all … every hour

BLACK IS BACK

So why should I lack?
