Salvation is the eternal light
The one at the end of a dark road
The reason not to give up the fight
A hope for a happy abode
Salvation is something earned
Not through hope alone
Religious leaders have learned
For it to come, you must atone
Salvation is the eternal light
A promise of happiness and hope
To reach salvation's ultimate height
One must hold onto the struggler's rope
No one said salvation was easy
It is a destination traveled to
There is no room for the sleazy
Only for those whom it is rightfully due
