These Figures of Water
Clear and quiet
Small and soundless
Big and bursting
Not human and mouthless
Happiness and depression
Sadness and joy
Tells us a story
of suffering and delight
Together with glee
and a smidgen of pain
Leaves a mark in our hearts
for all eternity
These figures of water
are filled with memories and nightmares
That cast a smile upon our face
and haunt us forever
The souls that carry these
with them for all time
Had a hour of trust
and a time of lies
We ignore the people
who just need a friend
And cherish the ones
that we hold everyday
Now the people that hold these
forever and more
All have a story
with a beginning and end
A tale of love
and a tale of lies
That make us want to wail and cry
Now again these forms
of thoughts and worries
Are not just water from our bodies
They are, as I say,
are books and novels
In the form of water
they are teardrops from our bodies
