Lost in thought

I like to think,
To just sit and actually worry about my future,
Or the world around me.

Think about my friends,
Why they choose to be there for me,
Why my family loves me,
And why my dog sticks by my side.

Maybe even about my teachers,
Why they worry so much about me,
What the point of living is.

Is thinking about what your thinking so hard on.

You go on wondering what your thinking about,
You get lost,
You lose your self,
Like a dog without a leash at a parade,

You weave yourself through thoughts,
And people you thought about,
You trip over bits of nothing,
Never bothering to look back.

And then you are finally found,
You find the thought you where looking for,
And once you reach it,
You find that the thoughts you had passed,
Are far more interesting,
Than the thought you were searching for.

It's beautiful really,
How you lose your self,
Then find your self,
Only to want to be lost again.

You want to go back,
Deep in thought,
Only to never be found,
Never get pulled out,
Never saved,
But forever alone,
Lost in thought.

This is why I like to think,
Why I cherish those long moments,
Where no one cares about you,
They know you are lost in thought and not to be pulled,
Only because you'll pull your self,
Find your self and regret it.

To think so hard on why you think about what things you thought on.

It's a beautiful thing,
Cherish and love it,
Like every thing else you love and cherish,
It's not all good,
But even then you can learn to love it.

I didn't notice it,
But did you?

I got lost again.

I stopped talking about what I usually think about,
And started on the dog and the parade.

It happens so easily,
You can do it while your talking about how beautiful and scary it is.

I can't even finish,
Your losing your self with me,
Next thing you know,
Poof,
We're gone!
Lost in thought,
Forever.
