Corpse
This is not my dream
I’m not as sane as I seem
I look to the window,
And I love what I see
Snow falling from far
And the man of my dreams
The setting,
it changes
I’m stuck in this place.
I look up and find friends
With tears on their face
I see myself now
Laid out like a blanket.
My face is flushed grey
My parents can’t take it.
Why I am dead, I do not understand.
But here comes my man
Come to reach for my hand.
He’s close now I see,
And He wanted forever.
“Always mine, you will be.”
And that turned into never.
