She Was So Beautiful In Death It Was A Wonder Why She Was Ever Alive

To escape from the city is a blessing of its own.
But one can’t simply leave for reasons unknown.
One needs a friend who far away lives.
A good old friend who is an invalid,
His name Bunbury be.
A good old friend to you and to me,
He is sick and frail and stuck in his bed.
He has a tick in his heart and a cold in his head.
He’s so close to death he might as well die
But he continues to live, and no one knows why.
He needs all the help a good friend can give
So one goes and helps dear old Bunbury live.
He’s sick when one needs him to be and well when one doesn’t
He was well when one was having fun and dying when one wasn’t.
Eventually however, though we’d like him to stay
Bunbury must die and once and for all go away
