I STAND
I stand on the ground of equality
I stand on the ground of music
I stand over many obstacles
I stand on the ground of perseverance
I stand on the ground of loneliness, true friendship and brotherly love
I stand on the ground of physical poverty
I stand on the ground of mental richness
I stand on the ground of expected greatness
I shall not stand, lay, or jump on the ground of failure
I will merely jump over it
I stand on the ground that wasn't always free to blacks
I stand on the ground of Malcolm X, MLK, and Mandela
Even though I'm no where near worthy to even look into their eyes
I stand on my own ground
