Why am I unable
to ease your pain?
you reveal your scars,
but hide your heart
how can I help
if you keep it in
until your breaking point
where everything shatters?
I've shed so many tears
my heart can't take this
you say these things
that only create terror
your life is of value
why can’t you see it too?
how can I prove
that I truly care?
I've done all I can
and now it has come to this
just listen to me
can't you hear my fear?
you aren't alone
I just don’t know
how to love you
