Time is uneventful
As I sit here and watch the sand grains
Fade away
I rock on my rocking chair
Waiting for nothing
Expecting someone to knock my hour glass over
Yet we have to live
We need to breathe
We need to laugh
Smell the roses
And wake up
And realize
We’re a jumble in a science textbook
And it’s beautiful
How simple things may be
But the complication
Is what makes it worth it

The author's comments:
Often I notice people not noticing how quick and beautiful the world is, how it seems like a quick bolt of lightning flashing across the sky. It's there and then it's gone. What if you took a picture of that and treasured it forever?
