Daddy, Are you proud?
Daddy, can I ask you one thing? Are you proud of me? Of who I've become? The woman I am? Since the day you've been gone, have you been proud of me? Of all that I've accomplished? All I have done? I've made it to high school did you look? I've made it without you did you see? I've worked hard in school, I'm going to get my diploma and walk across the stage are you gonna be there? To hold my hand when I need it? Will you be there when I walk down the aisle to brush my tears off when I look in my soul mate's eyes? Will you be there on my first day of basic to hold me when I cry? It's gonna be hard but I hope you see maybe? Will you just look at me once in awhile? To see all that I've accomplished? But daddy can I ask you something? Are you proud of the woman I have become? I love you. April 14, 2001.
