Storm
A storm creating stillness in the air
The willow sways in softness like a mare
The children run in homes as darkness spreads
With shadows over casting every bed

No soul noticed how gentile rain could be
But lightning strikes and that’s what they will see
And then the clouds began to part away
But that did not make kids run out and play

The sun is shining gold in skies above
But now the sun was what they were sick of
A storm that once was there, and now is gone
Now night begins, the children wait for dawn

The storm had left them wishing it away
And later found to be the sunny days
