~ Love ~
Love,
it can not be bought,
or even spent,
for true love has no end!
As kids,
love meant like,
and like meant love.
There wasn't a difference;
it didn't matter.
But now,
as you say cheers,
to the teenage years,
or maybe even goodbye to them,
things start to twist,
and to turn.
The definition of love
is now different
than the definition of like.
Like
is for someone you're not sure of,
that you are still trying
to get to know.
The feeling for that person
can be destroyed,
as quickly as it can be made.
It is never
truly forever.
Love
is for someone
you're crazy about.
Their smile,
no matter how ugly;
their laugh,
no matter how funny
or silly;
and finally,
their eyes...
Love
comes from the soul,
not the heart.
Do not listen to it,
unless it would tell you
the right choice,
not a regret or mistake.
Love has no end,
but does have a beginning.
