A Love-Hate Relationship
I dive in.
I dive in.
Water surrounds my entire body.
I already want to be done.
I feel free and relaxed.
Racing is as stressful as finals week.
My mind is clear. There’s not a single thought.
The pressure screams at my brain.
I’m neck and neck with the girls on both sides of me. I need to win!
I just want to let the other girls win.
I need to step it up.
The look my coach gives me tells me how close the race is.
My skin is burning up as I’m tiring.
Wow I’m dying!
This is the best feeling.
I’m going to throw up.
