It Begins
Here, it brutally begins.
A torturing thunder creepily creeks, cracks, and crawls amongst the scarlet sky,
Crackle, zap, zip.
BANG.
Lights out.
In for the night she supposes.
It was approaching,
And fast.
Lights out, only the flaming fireplace ominously on,
Let the horrid hunt begin.

A jittery jiggle of the daunting door.
A peering peek outside the weary window.
Seeming to be a peek in to a vast nothingness.
Nothing.

The door creeks to an unwelcomed open.
Footsteps tremble around the hostile house.
A sheer sweep of mischievous movement floats across the floor.
A vicious voice asks for “Her.”
Where is “She?”
No one in sight.

A screaming cry comes from the shadowy stairwell,
“Gone, she’s gone.”
The voice slowly drops.

The door creeks back open with a whining whisper,
“I will never stop until we meet again, back I’ll be, this time it better not be just me.”
One person left in the house.
But two souls trying to find each other.
And a house filled with many mysterious memories.
