As I sit here thinking about the past
It's hard to believe we didn't last
You meant everything to me
But it wasn't meant to be
You told me so many lies
I gave you too many pointless tries
I cried for so long
Trying to figure out where I went wrong
I felt so worthless
And you were so heartless
I tried not to doubt
But I had to shut you out
All those times I wanted to die
Asking myself why
My heart will never heal
Because I thought what we had was real.
