Shakespeare taunts and whispered wants
Dreams dressed up like debutantes
We talks of jets, our past regrets,
Moving boxes, soul duets
Camping jaunts and favorite aunts
And secrets met with nonchalance
(And when I slept I wouldn’t dare forget
To kiss you dreaming in the kitchenette
For night alone is bleak and long
Yet embracing you would make me strong)

From airplane seats to meet-and-greets
And learning unfamiliar streets
Cookie dough and lots of snow
Our teenage grins lit up aglow

As heart-shaped shades hide ocean eyes
And mountains kiss their bright goodbyes
We’ve been staying up late to talk about forever
Can you promise me that you’ll forget me never?
A spilt heart opened and sewn up anew
I planted seeds of love, then watched them as they grew
And we’ve been staying up late to talk about forever
Can you promise me that you’ll forget me never?
