"Vision? What do you know about my vision? My vision would turn your world upside down, tear asunder your illusions, and send the sanctuary of your own ignorance crashing down around you. Now ask yourself: Are you ready to see that vision?" -H.F.

You are a "cracker", while I am a "n*****"
Your skin lacks pigment while my skin is abundant with pigment
Your hair is straight, while my hair is nappy
Your eyes are blue, while my eyes are brown
Your nose is narrow and pointed, while my nose is wide and rounded
Your lips are thin, while my lips are plump
You speak proper English, while I speak Ebonics
We share one thing in common, however:
Both of our blood is red
So why is it we can't all get along?

The author's comments:
After reading a racist article written by a Ku Klux Klan member, I was inspired to write a peaceful rebuttal. This poem points out the contrasts between blacks and whites, and the one ultimate similarity. Hopefully, people will realize that all human beings are created equally, and that discrimination because of skin color (or any other reason for that matter) is simply wrong.
