How does a person know that they fully lived their life to its potential?
What does a person have to do to feel alive?
Like that they can take on anything that life throws at them.
Do we have to act like party animals making stupid decisions?
Taking drugs until we’re high.
Having sex like it’s meaningless.
What does it take to feel invincible?
What choices do we have to make to enhance our experiences?
Life is short.
It really is.
Our youth is even shorter.
Our golden years.
What does it take to feel like we have spent our youth to the best of it ability?
Sneaking out at 2 am?
Drinking at wild parties?
Making stupid decisions that seemed like it was worth it at the time?
We are only young for a while.
Why not make it last?
Maybe that’s why we act the way we do.
Teenagers act as if they can do anything because at that moment,
We feel the rush of excitement.
We feel unstoppable.
That’s why we push away the consequences and live in the moment.
Live as who we are now,
Not tomorrow.
Our experiences mold us to the people we live to be.
Let us be free as people,
As teenagers that crave for the moments we will forever remember.
That we will cherish as we grow older knowing,
We lived to the fullest.
No regrets.
Let the stupid decisions shape us into wise people of the future.
Screaming until we lose our voices,
Drinking until our vision blurs,
Partying until we faint,
Dancing until 5 am.
Let us feel…
Alive.
