Year one is mystery
With pride, love,
No history
Just what to become
And we do become
The one with straight A’s
We strum, we drum
A race with time
To the future we race
To secure “success”
To a degree and a face
To be accepted
But what do we lose
In our crusade for acceptance
As we burn life’s fuse
What do we lose?
