I live my life in shades of grey
To me it’s not a dreary color
Even grey skies bring the promise of rain and rebirth
Grey is flexible
It is not one or the other
Neither black nor white
Grey is supportive
It is inclusive and understanding
Living in the grey area is comfortable
Grey is what’s left to embrace you
When all other colors are leeched away

The author's comments:
I was thinking about how I perceive some of the things in my life as "grey areas". For example, I'm agnostic, meaning that I claim neither belief nor disbelief in God. I think I'm somewhere on the grey asexual spectrum. I also happen to like the color grey, because it complements other colors nicely. Grey rain clouds are pretty to me. And thus the line "I live my life in shades of grey" popped into my head. Sometimes things don't need labels, they don't need to be this or that, black or white. It's okay to be neutral.
