Matty
Play music like no volume is loud enough,
No note is held too long.
The piano is resting there asking you
To tap the keys and tap your foot, because there’s nothing to hold you back.
Think, but oh, don’t you dare speak
Don’t risk being shot down.
Write it out instead, hold your journal close
As if it was your best friend. The mute it does help mend.
Refuse to complain, appreciate every day you get to breathe through
Don’t pour your problems down others’ throats.
Cough and hack all you want
But they’re going down only your own whether you like it or not.
Love your significant other like the sky is the limit
Hope that even then the sky won’t break
Smile as you see happy couples strolling down the street
Because listen, you’re young, but your love is alive, and it’s complete.
Find beauty under rocks and in streams, beauty in the ugly and also in your dreams.
You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, it could be torn and stained but hold dazzling remains
Forgive and don’t forget, but never regret the day you two met
Look at those who are slipping away with love; perhaps when you pass, you’ll reunite in heaven above.
