A Time
How do you know the
 Feeling in my chest?
 I just can’t get rest from
 My thoughts, ‘cause they
 Play, rewind our moments.
 Again I fall.

 How is it that
 Your eyes pierce me?
 Knives in every direction;
 Love’s what I bleed.
 Talk to me,
 That deep voice of yours.
 Whisper in my ear
 A fairy tale.

 My head on
 Your pillow– it smells
 Like the cologne you wear when
 Trying to impress.
 Let me rest my
 Eyes for a while, I’m
 Floating beside you and
 Barely feel the hours.

 Your lips
 On my curly hair;
 It’s unruly,
 You love it, though.
 “We don’t need much to be happy”, I’m told,
 So for now, please hold my hands, they’re always cold.
