Here we go
again with the melancholy clatter
of the clanking spoon
upon the clay mug of my adventure
offering time and a hand
clenching this pen I make my final stand.

Here in the night
I remain a mellow yellow light
a flash, a sign
manning a post long forgotten
plagued by the unseen
and ignored by the masses.

Here we go
again unto the breach
bearing a banner with no crest
clenching our fists
our voices oozing out
as though we know what this is about.

?
Here in the dark
we become the spark
igniting a flame in the hearts of the broken and damned
whispering into the abyss
only to have scream back.

Here we go
again down the road less traveled
with nothing more than a life and sweater
yet this life is not a breeze
so take-up arms with a friend
and define the term a friend till the end.

This piece is my life in a literal and metaphorical sense. Be true to your friends is all I ask that people get out this poem. Life is adventure, so why do it alone?
