If I ever fall in love
Will I regret the fall? a drug.
Addicting true but aren’t all sins?
Will I regret the fall within?

The author's comments:
In this poem, Laeree uses metaphor by comparing love to a drug. They are two things that are essentially unalike. With this, Laeree created imagery so the reader could visualize or feel how she feels about love. That helps the reader look at the literal term of “love” and gives them an emotional connection to the poem. Laeree also uses alliteration in the last lines to put emphasis on words and aid in memory and understanding by making the poem catchy. She lastly uses meter. The lines are in a reoccurring pattern of 7 to 8 syllables, all a set length.
