Old Toys in the Dark
Oh, would you look at that!
There’s my doll from when I was five or six.
I loved her so much.
It’s a shame I left her here in this dark attic, all alone.
She was so pretty back then.
It looks like the mice have gotten to her.
She’s missing some hair.
Her little hands are all chewed up.
Even her little nose…
Gnawed off by a sharp mouse mouth.
The rest of her face…
Looks a little strange. Her eyes are narrower,
Her smile is almost…
Menacing.
The darkness does awful things to our
Precious toys.
