Give Me.
Give me. Everything. But not just anything. Give me you. And not the you you show everyone else, but give me the you you show yourself. Knock! Knock! Who's there? Really...who is? Give me hope, if there is any...because on this earth filled with the beautiful and the damned, do the spoils always go to the victors? Give me " Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness", let's live the dream, but what happens when we wake up? And as Cassius Clay swings and lands with a haymaker, it's ruled a TKO as I fumble and stumble and finally tumble down to the mat and wake up from my dream faced with reality...Give me love, give me a longing for presence, " I love you", an often misplaced line we love to say oh so prematurely, but who or what is our love truly addressed to? Sex? Drugs? Money? All of the above? Which bubble would you fill in? Give me life, let me breathe, give me space, space enough to grow, let me sprout, let the sun come in and brighten my day, let me feel the heat. I thirst for life, more importantly, I thirst for truth, unless you can't handle it..because I can't handle living a lie...what goes around comes around, and in this cryptogenic world of humans, I guess, sometimes we all get behind in the race...but I don't really care who finishes first, as long as you give it your all, as long as you give me you.
