I did this
I ruined us
I expected more
and you gave less.
Our words died in our throats
unable to fall as freely as before;
when we would talk about nothing, everything.
There was a shift in our relationship.
We are silent now.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry for my words, but
I don't want to take them back.
I only told you
how I felt and I saw how
the words pierced you
but I kept talking.
You accept the change
but it is an empty promise,
the bond is broken.
I did this
I ruined us.
