Where I'm From

I am from books, from Oreos and stuffed animals
I am from chickens, the constant clucking, the sound of flapping wings and the shallow holes in our yard for their dust baths
I am from Florida vacations and Wyoming holidays, Matt and Bree
I am from Christmas brunch and vacations
From sit up straight to we'll burn that bridge before we cross it
I'm from a small town in the middle of nowhere, ice cream and pie
From my dad's small country life to my mom's move across the country at sixteen
