His Eyes

I see rockets in his eyes,
Orange and shining.

We start running to the shelters.

We've done this before, like brushing your teeth in the morning.

Why isn't he running? He knows better.

He's frozen.
I run to him as the shelters lock.

I lay over him-
He screams.
"Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One"

I look into his eyes-
I see his future.
