Life ticks like a metronome
Holding on to adolescent dreams.
Notes filled with sorrow.
Looking through silent glass,
Watching growth
From teen to adult,
All strum the pain away
With each session.
Harmony composes happiness
Tempo increases healing.
Like knobs on the mixing board,
We spin down to zero,
As the track comes to an end.
